He was the first president not born of wealth, the common people did not miss that. He was one of the common people and helped voices be heard. The people loved him because his policies helped improved the lives of working Americans.
In the war 1812 Andrew was viewed as a "war hero". Soon after that the people elected him as president. As much as he didn't wanna be one the people told him to do it for his country and if he didn't it would the people down
