The Articles of Confederation were made so that every state could be as independent as possible, but they realized it had a lot of weaknesses. There was no national court system, the congress didn't have the power to tax, and each state had only one vote in congress , regardless of the population. The states often argued among themselves causing the weak government to fail. All the crucial flaws of the Articles of Confederation forced the colonies to revise it and realize that they needed to make a whole new document, the US Constitution. In the Constitution all of the weaknesses that were found in the Articles of Confederation were fixed . With the new set of rules and corrected errors the US Constitution was successful.

The articles of confederation were a fail because it did not appoint a leader and there fore the people didn't know what to do or how to do it and then later the constitution was mad and fixed everything .

The articles of confederation failed because there was no leader, there was an economic disorganization. The Articles had a lack of central leadership, and as well as legislative inefficiencies. The congress couldn't regulate trade, there was no uniform currency. and each state had one vote. What lead to the success of the Constitution was that it included a president and the congress was an organized system.

The Articles of Confederation failed because there wasn't any organization, they did not have a leader to follow. They were weak because nobody knew what, or who to follow. When the Constitution was written there was success because there was a leader to look up to and the government was very organized.

Every state was as independent as possible with the United States only responsible for the common defense, security of liberties, and the general welfare. To this effect, the Articles were purposely written to keep the national government as weak as possible. But there were many problems that soon became apparent as the Articles took effect. The Articles of Confederation failed because they left too much power with the states. The federal government had no power to levy or collect taxes, no power to regulate trade, and no power to enforce laws. There was also no executive branch under the Articles of Confederation, and no national court system.

In it's failure, the Confederation helped lead to the success of the US Constitution by revealing the problems of the articles allowing the government to create the US Constitution without the mistakes of the Articles of Confederation.
