Today we will discuss yesterday's election results and continue to examine the presidencies of Washington, Adams and Jefferson.

Trump elected 45th President of the US - NYT
- He will be the oldest person sworn in as President in his first term (Reagan was 73 at the start of his 2nd term).
- Mrs. Trump will be the first immigrant first lady in the nation's history.
- When he is sworn in, NY will have 7 presidents come from its' borders, tops in the US. (Ohio is 2nd, with 6).

Jack the Ripper killed his last victim, Mary Jane Kelly.
1938
Nazis burned and looted temples and Jewish-owned stores and houses in Germany and Austria in what became known as Kristallnacht (Crystal Night—referring to broken glass on streets).

Author-poet Dylan Thomas died in New York at age 39.
