Good morning!

75 years ago TODAY, the movie "Gone with the Wind" opened in theatres. (You will some of it this week in class)

Today we will examine the impact of: a) the new technology (telegraph, steel plow, railroads), b) Westward Movement (trails, Mexican-American War, Gold Rush).

Adolf Eichmann was sentenced to death by an Israeli court for organizing the deportation of Jews to concentration camps.

Animated-cartoon pioneer and movie producer Walt Disney died in Los Angeles.
